International Kashmir Seminar in Islamabad,Organized by the Institute of Policy Studies (IPS), a Kashmir Seminar, with the help of Kashmir Liberation Cell, held a seminar on Kashmir. Prime Minister Azad Kashmir Raja Farooq Haider Khan addressed the seminar as a special guest while the speakers included Saeed Fakhr Imam, Khalid Rahman, Prof. Dr. Roger Rosenberg,Prof. Dr. Yashpal Amar Chand Tandon, Javed Jabbar, Prof. Dr. Kalkazdis, Prof. Dr. Halil Tucker, Ambassador (R) Zamir Akram, Syed Iftikhar Gilani, Dr. Asma Shakir Khawaja, Prof. Dr. Nazir Hussain, Prof. Alizadeh Anzor, Prof. R) Khalid Iqbal, Dr Salmi Malik and Farzana Yaqoob. A large number of people from different fields including many persons related to Kashmir were present in the meeting.

IPS President Khalid Rehman in his opening remarks mentioned the organization’s efforts in regard to Kashmir and said that the responsibilities of the organization with regard to Kashmir are part of the Kashmir Global Community, which also constitutes a large population. Global laws regarding intent are the basic necessity, dividing Kashmir as a Pakistani is an incomplete agenda of the subcontinent and number five as a Muslim. Khaled Rehman said that the problem is the regional and global implications of Kashmir. Kashmir is the oldest issue of the UN agenda. He said the problem is two aspects of the Kashmir situation: From there, there are curfews and restrictions, India refuses to resolve Kashmir issue,Yes, the struggle of Kashmiris has been going on for many generations, human rights violations are taking place in occupied Kashmir. The question is, what will happen now? Kashmiris have proved that they will not be deprived of their basic rights. The Maoist government is using its final tactics with regard to Kashmir. What is the global role? What is the global response after India’s move on August 5? China’s efforts in Kashmir over Security Council meeting, UN General Assembly referred to Kashmir, statements were made in favor of Kashmiris from some countries, including China, Turkey, Malaysia,The US Congress Committee had two “hearings” on Kashmir, the UN Secretary General’s statement came out, the UN’s right to self-determination was resolved, the Human Rights Council focused on the Kashmir issue. ۔ But all this is not enough. The solution to the problem is necessary. Khaled Hassan emphasized the need to end curfew in occupied Kashmir, release prisoners, restrict insulation, and demand that Indian troops be sent back to barracks. Also, there is a demand that India should not conduct demographic changes in Kashmir.

Former Center Javed Jabbar said that Kashmir problem has been facing people for 70 years. Kashmir is the region with the largest number of soldiers in the world. Hundreds of pilots have gone blind with guns. Kashmiris are struggling to identify themselves. There is also responsibility. After August 5, Prime Minister of Pakistan addressed the UN General Assembly, Foreign Minister and others from different countries Made contact and strengthened Pakistan’s position on Kashmir. We say it will be done in seven years.But it seems that the Kashmir issue may continue for another seventy years. Pakistan is the custodian of Kashmir cause. In our strategy there should be internal solidarity. Jawad Jabar said that the government was trying to remove the government in the name of independence. Independence is the slogan of occupied Kashmir. He said that in the world there is a custom of “Might from right”. Just as Israel’s low-lying country has established significant leadership and development in every sector against its Arab-populated Arab countries, Pakistan should also focus on adopting the same procedure in its region. India should be challenged without war.
